I have been a member for years, but just had to complete one of those hateful captchas to get into the site for the first time. Is this going to be there every time?
They use purposely blurry images to confuse robots, which I understand, but that also makes them almost impossible on a mobile and occasionally even on a laptop due to some of the images being so stupidly grainy.
My success this morning was just a fluke and just managed to raise my anger levels.
If it is a very occasional thing, I'll go with it, but if it's to appear every time, you may well lose a subscriber.

Re: Captcha at logon?
Could it be, that you have JavaScript disabled for some temporary reason?
Or, that you have opened the site in a Private window or tab (so that it won't be part of your browser history after closing)? Some browsers then can't make proper use of cookies or saved passwords.
These are two possibilities on the end user side that could maybe cause this phenomenon.

Same settings as ever. Same device. Same browser.
Re: Captcha at logon?
never had a Captcha here so far. Did you maybe entered wrong details a couple of times ? Could be a measure to stop too many tries at login....
Re: Captcha at logon?
Same automated password software that never forgets.

Hi Legion23,
Captcha are enabled only if your connection is doing bad activity
We have checked your account and we didn't see any recent connection, so your member account is probably not under your email.
Please contact the support in order to help you : https://www.woodmancastingx.com/contact
If you use the Remember me checkbox and not cleaning your cookies, you do not have to enter your password again.

Re: Captcha at logon?
My member account does differ from my forum email.
As far as bad things the worst I would have done is change from mobile to WiFi.
As long as it's not going to be at every logon it's OK.
