yesterday i did watch a historical movie about Morals of ancient societies, Roman in particular; and how deep it was spoiled, including sex orgies of Caligula and manners of (partially rumored) Cleopatra. Then I suddenly remember the famous porn movies about these two figures (one of them with Julia Taylor - who is in my top 5) and caught an idea: Napoleon is missing. Although, there is a old Italian porn movie about Napoleon, I think Pierre, you could do much greater movie.

Well, anyway, that was just a funny idea/suggestion. If you had a smile while reading this - i am more than satisfied.

That movie Caligula was scandalous. Many A-list Hollywood stars were in it. And it was cleverly photographed. The orgies were played by the actors but no actual sex.

Then the director hired porn stars to have explicit sex, but did not show their faces. Then he added those scenes to the orgy. We all thought that we were seeing Hollywood movie stars actually having sex.

Well, i just wanted to share an "idea", which i've got watching a historical movie.

Anyway, Pierre, let's assume for a second, that you might consider to think, to do this in the future.

Who would be then Joséphine de Beauharnais? Who would you choose to be "1st lady"? And who would be then Marie-Louise d'Autriche? Maybe some austrian models?

You will never see a big porn movie with luxurious sets and such ever again. Pirates killed the profit margin of bigger budget porn movies.

You can still come back to VHS That would be such a hassle to convert into digital formats

Seriously, big movies are just the past. Maybe if tomorrow the internet was able to stop piracy I could start it again but it's almost impossible.

Sad, but true. I guess we will never see this happening... Unless, maybe kickstarter is the way? To get the money in advance and then shot a movie, huh?

But let's dream for a second, how would you, as the director see this - would you choose young performer for Joséphine de Beauharnais, or more mature? Maybe it's not cool to ask directly - who would that be, but at least say, if you would choose like 18+ (like very young) or maybe mature actress.

True. I am sure, he never even heard of Murmansk at all.

Kickstarter is for something that has chances of being profitable, but has problems raising seed money, not for something that will for sure not make profit at all (because of piracy). Latter needs donations.

As Murmansk was founded in 1916, it would have been rather difficult for Napoléon to know about it

Actually, i used to believe Murmansk was somewhere in far east, not in north west, further than Vladivostok. Shame on me!
