You don't know what you're talking about, in Hollywood they almost all have stunt men for doing risky stuffs, in Wrestling they all do things themselves, sometime they get cut (with true blood), and hurt very badly, you should watch more to understand this.
Actually I do because I watched documentaries about wrestling. It is 100% rehearsed and faked. Even the blood and pain is faked. Occasionally accidents might happen and they get hurt, but they are professional fakers. In my opinion this programme is for 13 year olds maximum. Adult should not be getting excited over a wrestling match which is fixed and events that are made so obvious that you can tell what is going to happen next. When you watch a movie you are on the edge of your seat. Wrestling is just lame acting.

I agree with you. This is entertainment for kids. The acting in wrestling sucks and Jean is actually comparing this to Hollywood movies and Netflix
But lets leave Jean alone. If he wants to watch his cartoons🤡 then we will let him

Where is that written, that adult should not enjoy Wrestling ? Movies and Wrestling are both fake, there's lame acting in some movies too , tv show ect, there's adult who goes watch Marvel/Avengers movies, it's not necessary shameful :ugeek:

Of course I haven't watched a wrestling match since I was a child but anyway I have huge respect for those guys making a great entertainment !!!

PW
I also stopped watching pro wrestling during my teenage years, but people should for example watch The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke to have an idea of the tough job these guys do to make a show. Of course the punches they fake, if real, would be lethal, duh! But making the fable work is as much a form of art as cinema is. Dwayne Johnson transitioned into the easier job when he became an actor, not the harder.

BTW, there is something of a spectrum regarding the fakeness of wrestling, depending on the country and the level of exposure. WWF, being at the most popular end, used to be more risque during the so-called "Attitude Era", the one where Johnson came from and on which Owen Hart lost his life with an act that went wrong. But not anymore, they went full PG during the 2000's. Other less popular companies do offer shows with more risky stunts and the occasional real blood.

Also Edge, if he didn't taked a break from Wrestling in 2011 and didnt had his deep surgery operations, he would've ended in a wheelchair, same for HBK, who adapted his Wrestling style to his painfuls back problems, those even after 2000, where dealing with hard stuff with their body

I actually think that jumping from 10 feet high structures and hurting yourself to entertain people is actually pretty sad. Also because these fans look up to these characters who are actually being fake. Wrestlers are on the road most of their lives and spend most of their time away from their family. Is it really worth all the adrenaline for the moment.

The goal is not to hurt oneself, that's a potential consequence, the goal is entertainment (and money obviously). You know there's people that would draw the exact comparison to porn, do you feel sad as well?
