I'm downloading from Europe, Germany with a 50mbps line - so in theory this should be pretty fast. Hmm... maybe it really is just the connection from my provider to the server where the files are stored.

Am I the only one having problems with the server speed for a looong time now? Streaming is basicly impossible, because the clip stops every fews seconds, and downloading is a pain with 100kb/s - an average 1.5 GB clip takes 6 hours to download.

It's certainly not the pirates but the competition. You are competing against networks, that offer dozens of sites with several daily updates for way less than the price that you want for a membership to one site with one weekly update. Plus, your sites aren't too well known on the net. Don't always...

With a bad codec the bitrate doesn't matter that much - 8MB/sec with WMV2 is way worse than 4MB/sec with H264.

Maybe you could offer H264-coded files at WUNF as well - just as you do on CSX?

Just a suggestion: You are currently using a completely outdated codec for your HD-wmv files (WMV2). Even with the 5GB file for the new Dido&Kari scene there's loooots of block building. You would be able to get better video quality with lower file size if you'd switch to some reasonably modern code...

Just a hint: When you start selling videos for 3 credits instead of 2, you should rework your 'Add credits' page, because the 'a video costs 2 credits on wunf' could be considered a lie.
