4k is coming, slowly but it is coming. Netflix will offer their own series House of Cards season 2 as 4k streaming.

B&H Photo is based in New York city and sells all over the world. They have a Pro Sony camera that records in 4K. Depending on the lens, it goes for between $7700 and $8200.
Imagine the detail that you could see up close and personal.

OK but once again Sony is playing with customers ( even if I love this mark I do not like it ) and it will be again the same story like HDV and DV !!!
A real 4K is (4096×2160) and you can see the AX 100 is annonced with a resolution maximum of 3840x2160 with 25p and 24p ( no 50p ). So it's repetitas !!!

The Canon 1Dc is actually one of the best way for the best price to have a real 4K.

I did not mean to promote the Sony camera. It is just the first one that I saw advertised with 4K. Personally, I think their products are over priced. The last digital camera that I bought was a Canon. I would never invest in a very expensive camera without first doing thorough comparison testing, and reading the reviews. Just like a car. I always thought that Canon had the best lenses, and a good lens is just as important as the rest of the camera. (But you know all that. I am preaching to the choir.)

I love Canon for pictures and Sony for video ...

Yeah but in the GO PRO, the 4K is only at 12i/s so 100% useless for action. Just good on tripod for scenic visual ...

the images are amazing, I'm speechless but the time of conversions are just madness.
I don't think it will be so easy to edit 4K !!! 1 minute 4K to convert in HD ( H264 ) has taken me an eternity !
