It's true, HIV cannot be detected during the first 12-30 days after infection (depending on the sub-type).

Plus, there are some infections for which no test exists - With HPV, women can receive a scrapping of the cervical cells to determine if the infection is present, but there is no existing test for men. That is, if a man has HPV 6, it may cause lesions (warts), so of course he will know he is infected. Unfortunately, these types that cause warts are NOT the dangerous varieties of HPV (there are over 40 types).

HPV 16 and 18 are the ones that cause cancer, and they do NOT cause lesions (warts) so a man can carry this for years, passing it on to women and never know. There is no way to test for this in a man. I can't emphasis this enough, because there seems to be a lot of confusion about HPV and which varieties are dangerous. Too many men say they are "clean" but the reality is there is no way to know!

Of course you have test in Europe for HPV 16 and 18 and also I do regulary peniscopy + the horrible stick in the uretra every month for this !!! ( fucking painfull ! )
I know also just with a finger to feel it very often in girls pussies and ass but only if the level is few weeks or months because before only a gynecologue can find it !
We are very aware of this problem in the Xbiz and I already said that in 2020 and 30 many women will die from neck cancer and will not imagine it was because of the deepthroat they did in 2010 !!!

About Aids detection the Elisa blood left a 3 to 6 weeks unknow time but the DNA is from the minute ! In USA we do the DNA but in France only if you get a positive Elisa blood, to confirm the verdict. It's scandalous we can't, even if we want paid, get a DNA test in Paris. Budapest is on the way for this and Prague also, which is a good news. About Russia, of course it's a little bit ....in late !!!

The reason the HPV DNA test is not FDA approved and available in the USA is because it is so inconclusive, that is is a total waste of time.

We don't do it that way in Europe, it's manual, directly from the doctor with a special binoclar and also the coton stick inside uretre, but anyway never 100 % it's true !

Ok, but 16 and 18 (along with most others) cannot be detected this way with ANY accuracy! Just the ones that cause lesions. Plus, with HPV, so many people "clear" the virus after time. Statistically speaking, every study is showing that the majority of sexually active adults have HPV of some type (some studies show as much as 80%! But that is the extreme end). Good chance you had it at some time, and cleared the virus. Even someone like me, I have had two sex partners in my life, but maybe even I have it/had it! No way to know! I can only know my results for now show negative. But it's difficult when we are talking about a virus that can clear the body or stay dormant undetected for several years. Impossible for anyone (other than a virgin) to speak with certainty concerning this one!

You are 100% right on the cancer issue...we are predicting here that HPV will pass tobacco as the #1 cause of throat cancer in the next few years. But, you have to put all things into perspective. When you consider a LARGE part of the population may carry this virus, it is a relatively small portion that ever develop into cancer. The key is keep up the testing! Like you said, there is risk in all we do! The vaccine will pull these numbers back down over time.
