As another person mention my point was not about direct sales, obviously those websites won't pay nowhere near what it cost for you to produce something but more as advertising. Random guy is on tube site, see one of your video and say to himself "Thats pretty nice, what site does it come from? Oh Woodman Casting X? Ill go take a look" Then he arrive on your website and he is mind blowed by all the pretty ladies and the trailers... ) you mean for what? A month? I don't know how exactly performers are paid, and i guess considering the type of content you shoot, you probably pay them more than usual porn sites (anal, slaps, verbal insults, dp, swallow etc) and obviously i know the editing time and the cost to host the servers/bandwith is to be taken into consideration. I know there is a lot involve in making a porn scene behind just the performer's paycheck but i would think a scene would probably cost maximum 10/12k all expenses included? Or am i far from reality? Maybe more when its "there first anal" and stuff like this.
The only numbers i have that are accurate for sure are the ones for Quebec, but its a very small market, a B/G vanilla scene is paid less than 1000$C for the female performer, the male is like 200$... The website usually release a scene a week...
Otherwise i will agree with Lecter. Porn piracy will always be a thing. Even more than other media cause porn is probably the only thing most peoples don't care about physical media. There is no incentive to pay for porn compare to music, Hollywood movies and video games where you want "the real thing" other than your own peace of mind and knowing you encourage the peoples you enjoy there content. Not saying piracy is right here, don't quote me wrong, just saying facts.
I know some places myself that release just about every brazzers video as soon as they are out. Yet Brazzers keep pumping $$$ and never seem to slow down. Probably there members outnumber greatly the peoples that pirate them. I know every site is different and all, but you get what i mean. But the fact is even if you wait 3 years to release the follow up to a video, when you do some peoples will pirate it, its a fact of modern internet. I feel its better to focus on your actual members than what may happen to the video. I just saw another thread where Azure Storm hard part is taking 3 years to release. 3 years? Lol thats insane ! Some old dudes may have died actually waiting for that scenes
