France already IS a Muslim country. The number of practicing Muslims already outnumbers the number of practicing Catholics. They're already over 10% plus they breed much faster. The suburbs already look like Algeria, with fat hijabi women and unemployed men collecting welfare checks.

Whatever, surrendering is the national pastime for you French. ;)

100% agree with you Marksy.

@totoro: how many days were the french able to resist germany? i think it was only 4 weeks till the KAPITULATION.

I live in the suburbs of Paris (Aubervilliers). There is a (large) majority of arabs, and yes, you can see some of them all day in bars, gambling on horse race. But I see a hell of a lot more of them when I took the subway in 6 am. There's a train every 2 minutes at this hour and every one of them gets filled at our station by immigrants, mostly arabs who are going before dawn to work in Paris.

Amongst all the fathers of the arabs I grew up with, I know one guy who don't work and live on allocations. The other are working their asses in shitty job and aren't complaining about it.

Regarding muslims, most of the guys are doing what someone once called "L'islam pépère" (which may translate by "chill islam"), they simply don't eat pork and do the ramadan but don't give a shit about the rest.

Thanks, Grossemite, for this interesting perspective. I have visited many times in Paris, and of course see these areas, but it's something different as a tourist and of a resident observing them every day.

I have the misfortune of having the acquaintance of a few Arab Moroccan families living in Paris who are, unfortunately, taking advantage of the system. But, it happens everywhere, with all people. It's good to see that many are making the most of the life in Paris, as you suggest. My boyfriend still has some family in France, but they are also working and doing quite well. His nephew is a top ranked cyclist (Achen Aggar), among other things. So, I not all is bad in this situation.

In Paris Africans or Arabians in subway at 6 a.m are normal people going to work and never doing anything bad to anybody !!! But taking the subway at midnight and watch who is inside ! This is not the same category ... and the danger is very present !
This is the main problem of my country and until it will not be resolved, Paris will be for me one of the most insecure place on earth ...

You make a good point even if I think you have an exagerated vision of that problem. I take the subway at night quite often and incidents are very rare. Of course it's not the same for the RER which looks like a russian roulette ("6 wagons! In which one will you get your ass kicked?") But anyway, yeah, you're right, this is a major problem in that country and yes, gangs aren't usually made of boy named "Julien" or "Mathieu"...
