I heard a story that the reason the Japanese do not want white men as actors is because of being defeated by them in WWII. The stigma still exists. They will however allow black men as actors, because they were enslaved by the white man, and the Japanese feel empathy toward them.

It may be a lot of "bull".

Years ago, I did see an unusual Japanese porn movie. It was on film. It had a black man and he was well endowed. The Japanese woman could handle him, but he did not put it all the way in. He spoke English, and there were Japanese subtitles at the bottom of the screen, and Chinese subtitles vertically along the right side of the screen. All the subtitles were distracting.

I had to look him up. He is 75 years old and still going strong. Pun intended.
