We have made a similar drive also - though we started in France.

It's fun to travel this way, but I prefer to fly to one country/location and stay put. There is too much to see and I regret the things I missed.

Driving offers so much. I remember driving along the Autohahn Germany and a red Ferrari followed by a black Ferrari raced past. I pulled in at the next service station for a beer and some food, the same 2 Ferrari's were parked up. They were in showroom condition.

The scenery while driving through Austria was picture postcard. The sky was clear blue, and the snow peeked moutain tops the stuff of dreams.

Maybe someday I will drive across France again, and stay in a nice hotel.

I agree, I love the driving, but as I said, there are too many places to stop, I feel I miss so much. I like to take smaller sections of the world at a time so I can devour it and examine it to the inthe degree. I enjoyed the drives in France also - Normandie seemed the best part, to me. Luxembourg, too, is very underrated! The capitol city is a wonderful place to walk. We went one time (primarily so I could visit the grave of General Patton) and were very pleased with our stay. One night we were out - a nice dinner, then walking and walking... almost until dawn. It was a wonderful memory!

On the return journey I stayed in Luxembourg for 2 nights. I got to walk around the center, and see the (famous ?) green statue giving the middle finger sign. I liked the country, although the price of beer was high.

Gibt es bei T-Online keine Möglichkeit mehr, ein privates Photoalbum anzulegen und per E-Mail einen Zugang zu verschicken? Ansonsten versuch es doch mal bei Arcor, da müsste es das noch kostenlos geben...
